The reason why it’s so important is that most prospects don’t instantly buy from you after receiving an email or commenting on a social media post. There’s often a series of steps along the way in the sales process, and when you follow up, you give yourself a significantly higher chance of actually making a sale.

So, what follow-up tasks should you be doing daily?

The first step is to respond to direct leads such as inquiries or contact forms from your website. This could be an email from a potential prospect, or it could be a voicemail. You should also be responding to private messages (PMs) or direct messages (DMs) that require a response.

If you’re not getting many of these, it’s time to start sending more.

Another important aspect of daily follow-up is responding to comments on your social media posts, including comments in your own Facebook group and other groups that you’re a part of. This is a great way to build relationships with potential customers and keep the conversation going.

If you don’t have an online customer relationship management (CRM) system in place that prompts you to follow up on leads, creating a spreadsheet or a Trello board can help you keep track. This way, you’ll always know who you need to follow up with and when.

Lead generation is all about having conversations, both online and offline. It’s essential to spend consistent time on follow-up tasks to ensure that you’re making the most of every opportunity. Statistics on sales reps indicate that most sales happen on or after the 5th follow-up, so don’t give up too soon.
